Delivering a full, end-to-end service, from brand creation to interior design. The Counter House is born of a laid back attitude inspired by the sun-drenched brasseries of Melbourne. Whether it’s an indulgent burger or a next level salad, Counter Culture is all about a celebration of contrasts.

Shed was invited to create a new F&B business and brand, from naming and identity to full interior design and build. The brief was an all-day dining neighbourhood offer local to Manchester’s trendy Cutting Square.

Born of a singular idea: the basic and the beautiful, the design approach was all about pairing contrasts: From Melbourne to Manchester. This simple mantra is felt in everything from a relaxed and eclectic mix of furniture to a bold and playful art concept.

The result is a joyful mix of industrial and luxurious, honest and elevated. Counter is now a much loved local haunt famous for its legendary Sunday roasts.
